Middle School Football/Athletic Preseason Workouts
We, the Discovery High School Football Coaching Staff, are excited to announce the beginning of this year’s preseason middle school workouts. These workouts will take place in the football field house weight room, and will be run by the knowledgeable member of our staff. The coaches will be teaching athletes how to properly lift weights and also working on different skill related components that are essential to being successful football players.
Who can come to these workouts?
Any 6th, 7th,or 8th grade student.
Why should I come to these workouts?
To prepare yourself mentally and physically for the upcoming football season.
What will we do during these workouts?
We will work on lifting weights for playing football. We will teach you proper stretching for lifting. We will work on speed training.
When are the workouts?
Each Tuesday and Thursday at 6:30 pm for approximately 1 hour.

Discovery High School Field House – located next to the football stadium.

Picture Retake day is November 11!
Retakes are for new students/staff, students/staff who were absent on the original picture day, and for students who paid for a package and are not happy with their pictures.
If a student is not happy with the package that they purchased, they MUST bring the package of pictures with them in order to have a retake.
On November 3, 2015, Gwinnett voters will be asked to consider continuing the E-SPLOST (education special purpose local option sales tax). Over the years, Gwinnett students and school communities have benefited from the E-SPLOST which has provided thousands of needed classrooms in nearly 60 new schools and nearly 80 school additions, as well as technology improvements that are essential to teaching and learning.
